A training aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force crashed near the temporary campus area of Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka, on Monday, July 21. The incident occurred around 1 PM when the F-7 BGI (701) model aircraft suddenly went down and caught fire immediately upon impact. Eyewitnesses from nearby areas rushed to the scene following the crash. Initial reports indicate that Squadron Leader Tawkir was onboard the aircraft, though it remains unclear if there were any other passengers. Several civilians in the area were reportedly injured, with videos and photos of the aftermath circulating on social media. Some of the injured were seen being taken to the hospital, but it is not yet confirmed if there were any fatalities. The Fire Service reported that eight units from Uttara, Tongi, Pallabi, Kurmitola, Mirpur, and Purbachal fire stations were dispatched and are still conducting rescue operations.
